Loosely translated, La Féline means debauchery in French, well at least at the bar equivalent in Paris.
This Ménilmontant bar is one of the few places in Paris you can not only let your hair down, but catch a free gig, watch girls dance on the bar, maybe even take your clothes off.
It’s a rock’n’roll institution that celebrated its fifth birthday in 2012. Run by a motley crew of tattooed locals, the bar is literally overflowing on weekend nights, as wasted-on-Jameson rockers swerve around the dancefloor.
Impress fellow hipsters: keep your eye on their Facebook tribune, La Griffe de la Féline Bar, as they sometimes have secret gigs featuring big names. Think Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth for free on a Wednesday night.
