Bastille is the Vegas of Paris. It’s a walking stag night, with shouting drunk tourists and bars serving jager bombs until the first metro pulls out of the nearby station.
Tape is one of the few exceptions to the Bastille rule, serving up cheap pints in plastic glasses to young tattooed people that want to listen to rock, indie, electro or hip hop.
In fact all the drinks are cheap, especially on happy hour when you can snap up a pint-size cocktail for €4. I wouldn’t necessarily order a Manhattan, but if you’re looking for something like a cuba libre, there are only so many ways it can be screwed up.
Impress fellow hipsters: should you drink too many pints of cocktail, there are ‘American style’ hot dogs on offer behind the bar.
