Ten Belles is a canal side coffee spot for those searching for more than Cafés Richard to get their day going.
A stones throw from Canal Saint Martin, the bare-bones yet inherently cosy space draws expats in droves, in the search of flat whites and filter from homelands like San Francisco and Melbourne.
It’s the brainchild of Thomas Lehoux – who did a stint as a Barista in Sydney amongst a million other Paris/coffee related things – with backing and food from British bistro Le Bal Cafe.
In the mornings there might be granola or porridge, with a selection of sandwiches, soups and salads for lunch. Go early on the weekends to avoid inevitable queues out the door.
Impress fellow hipsters: The café now gets its beans from Belleville Roasters, a joint venture between Thomas, David Flynn (ex-Telescope), & Anselme Blayney
