Lulu la Nantaise is a cosy canal-side eatery serving up delicious Breton buckwheat galettes.
These crispy well-adorned tributes to Brittany are guaranteed to make you 5000% happier than the generally awful (and often slightly raw) crêpes you will find on the streets.
Whilst you can procure a simple jambon-fromage should this be all you crave, the more adventurous of palette can also indulge in Saucisse de Morteau, Andouille de Bretagne, compotée d’oignons, fondue de poireaux or chèvre frais.
And at Chez Lulu you have the option to wash them down with French cider or round-off the meal with a sweet crêpe dripping with caramel beurre salée.
Most of the dishes are under €10, stretching to €12 for the gigantic complet with egg, mushroom, ham and cheese. Cheap, friendly and reliable.
Impress fellow hipsters: Lulu is open from midday to 11pm every day of the week (11.30pm Fri/Sat), service continu. Take your friends on desolate Sunday afternoons when nothing is open.
