An enormous bar, restaurant, club and terrace that sits right on the Seine, nestled inside the Cité de la Mode et du Design.
Space comes at a premium in Paris – perhaps why its inhabitants have little concept of personal space – but at Wanderlust there is room to move and then some. Though the club and restaurant are open all year round, the terrace comes alive at the slightest hint of sunshine. It’s an outdoor space built for drinking Rosé.
And there is something happening almost every night, mostly DJs, mostly house music, the occasional film, sometimes a yoga class.
The restaurant food is below average ‘Mediterranean,’ which is essentially French-ified Italian dishes and overpriced snacks. But skip the restaurant and come here to enjoy a warm summer’s night with seemingly, every person in Paris under the age of 30.
The space is the third by Savoir Faire, the trio behind Social Club and Silencio. In late 2012 they also opened Nüba on the roof at the very same location.
