Septime La Cave is a small wine store – by the neighbouring restaurant of the same name – with walls lined with natural wines and a tiny bar on which to sample them.
Foie gras, pancetta, anchovies, ricotta, sardines and kalimata olives round-out the effortlessly European, produce-focused array of snacks, if you are lucky enough to nab a surface on which to sit them on.
Drinking a store bottle indoors will cost you €7, or you can choose something by the glass for around €5. Open till 10.30pm Tues – Sat, there is no longer any excuse to resort to wines from Franprix.
Impress fellow hipsters: grab a bottle of Orange wine, sometimes referred to as Amber wine, a white that originated in Georgia and Armenia that is macerated with its grape skins to give it a carmel hue.
